Our legacy

Greg and Donna Beverlin created The Sauce in 1989, the same year they opened Hillsdale Bank Bar B-Q. The restaurant officially closed in 2015 due to the passing of cofounder Donna Beverlin. She met each guest with a big smile and warm welcome. Her presence was irreplaceable.

While the restaurant is no longer open, the legacy of Hillsdale Bank Bar B-Q lives on. Greg continues to make The Sauce in the same bank building and lives by the same motto: “You work hard and stay honest, and good things will always come back to you.”
